Program overview
In keeping with its commitment to develop a robust and diverse legal cannabis economy in B.C., inclusive of rural and Indigenous communities, the Province launched the B.C. Indigenous Cannabis Product (BCICP) program.
The program, launching on January 18, 2022, will highlight cannabis products from B.C.-based Indigenous producers in private cannabis retail stores, BC Cannabis Stores and online, helping consumers easily identify Indigenous products and make purchasing decisions.
The program is available to federally licensed cannabis producers that have at least 51 per cent Indigenous ownership and whose facilities are located in British Columbia.
The program is also available to licensed cannabis retail stores to highlight BCICP product within their outlets.

An official BCICP program logo will be available by mid-2022. In the meantime, a temporary logo is available.
Products available as part of the BCICP program can be found on the BC Cannabis Wholesale website and can be identified by the program logo. Once retailers order BCICP product, they may download the program logo and use it in their store to highlight and market these products, according to the Logo Guidelines and Terms and Conditions.
